Scriba Man Arrested On Sex Offense Charges

OSWEGO COUNTY – On April 7, 2026, the New York State Police arrested Kevin C. Hoyt, age 55, of Scriba, for the following charges:

• Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance (Class “C” Felony)

• Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (Class “D” Felony)

• Two counts of Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child (Class “E” Felony)

• Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class “A” Misdemeanor)

The investigation began following a third-party report alleging the sexual abuse of a child victim. Pursuant to a search warrant executed at Hoyt’s residence, investigators seized electronic devices that contained images depicting the abuse.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the State Police Fulton Bureau of Criminal Investigations, the Troop D Computer Crimes Unit, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Hoyt was transported to the Oswego County Jail following arraignment, where he is currently being held on $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 bond, or $50,000 partially secured bond.
