OSWEGO COUNTY – On May 9, 2026, at approximately 8:57 a.m., New York State Police responded to a reported domestic incident involving a firearm at a residence on State Route 13 in the town of Williamstown, Oswego County.
An investigation determined that Damien D. Bolster, age 24, of Altmar, NY, became involved in multiple verbal and physical altercations with household members. During the incident, Bolster allegedly assaulted another individual, damaged property inside the residence, threatened occupants while in possession of a rifle, and strangled a female victim during a domestic dispute.
Bolster was arrested and charged with:
The investigation revealed Bolster has prior felony convictions, making him prohibited from possessing firearms.
Bolster was transported to SP Pulaski for processing and transported to the Oswego County Jail pending centralized arraignment. Due to prior felony convictions, he was held pending a bail hearing in Oswego County Court.
A Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order (TERPO) investigation was also initiated in connection with the incident.
