OSWEGO – Oswego Harborfest is pleased to announce its headlining act for July 28.

Legendary arena rock group Night Ranger will bring its iconic sound, style, and showmanship to the NRG Lakeview stage in a performance that is sure to both bring back old memories and create new ones.

With more than 17 million albums sold worldwide, more than 3,000 live shows rocked, and more than 1 billion radio listeners, Night Ranger is the epitome of the arena rock era, but with its impact on popular culture, and an ever-growing fan base, have proved that they possess the perfect formula for continued success.

Night Ranger, which consists of Jack Blades (bass, vocals), Kelly Keagy (drums, vocals), Brad Gillis (lead and rhythm guitars), Eric Levy (keyboards), and Keri Kelli (lead and rhythm guitars), has certainly earned its status among the upper echelons of rock music.

The group has garnered widespread critical acclaim, multi-platinum and gold album status while leaving an indelible mark on the music charts (Dawn Patrol, Midnight Madness, 7 Wishes, Big Life, Man in Motion).

Its popularity was also fueled by an impressive string of instantly recognizable hit singles and signature album tracks, with legendary songs such as “Sister Christian,” “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me,” “When You Close Your Eyes,” “(You Can Still) Rock in America” and many more.

The band was also one of the first big “video” bands, with more than 10 number one videos on MTV.

Over the years, the band’s music has made notable contributions to popular culture. Night Ranger’s songs can be heard in TV shows such as The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Glee, Grey’s Anatomy, and Parks & Recreation; in video games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero; Broadway musicals like Rock of Ages; and in films such as Boogie Nights, Friday the 13th, and Sixteen Candles.

Night Ranger rocks into its 35th anniversary this year. The group will take the NRG Lakeview Stage at 10 p.m. on July 28.

Harborfest is also celebrating a special anniversary, with 2017 marking the 30th edition of the annual free-admission music festival.
