OSWEGO, NY – Representatives from Novelis Oswego Works were on hand at Taste of Oswego to help raise funds in support of the United Way of Greater Oswego Countyâ€™s Annual Campaign.
Ice-cold water, soda in aluminum cans and a variety of snacks were available at the Novelis tent.
In addition they held a raffle for a gift basket, which was won by Dick Delaney and a 50/50 raffle won by John Jackson.
â€œIt was great afternoon,â€ said Delaney of Novelis. â€œHundreds of people came out for Taste of Oswego and many of them were happy to purchase water and soda to support the efforts of their United Way.â€
According to Carol Dillabough, Novelisâ€™ appearance at Taste of Oswego was the beginning of the companyâ€™s internal campaign in support of the United Way.
â€œNovelis Oswego Works is â€˜unitedâ€™ as a team for the purpose of reaching our goal for the United Way of Greater Oswego Countyâ€™s Annual Campaign. Our internal United Way team Live United with the same goals and objectives of the United Way. Our Novelis United Way team was happy to get a jump-start on our campaign as we raised approximately $650 at the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerceâ€™s Taste of Oswego,â€ said Dillabough.
