OSWEGO, NY – Cherie W. Blanchard, 70, a resident of 184 E. Fifth St., Oswego, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Gilluly) Williams and was a graduate of Oswego High School.
She was employed with Bruce Jewelers and later was employed with the State University at Oswego in the admission department at Sheldon Hall.
Cherie was close to the ones she worked with and enjoyed spending time her family.
Surviving are her brother, Daniel (Elizabeth) Williams Sr. of Binghamton and his three children, Dr. Daniel (Nancy) Williams Jr., Darryl (Margie) Williams, Mark (Coreen) Williams and their children, Daniel III, Kristen, Ashley, Aubrey and Nick.
Also surviving are a nephew, Mike (Michelle) Williams; a niece, Vikki Gosnell; a sister-in-law, Pamela (Alan) Buske; two brothers-in-law, Gerald (Pat) Blanchard and Joseph (Sandy) Blanchard; nieces and nephews, Teresa, Michelle, Alan, Debbie, Tim and Spencer; great-nieces and great-nephews, Nathaniel, Heather, Grason, Joseph, Skylar, Amber, Autumn, Eamon and Sarah.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Theodore B. Blanchard; her mother-in-law, Mary (Betty) Blanchard; and her brother, Frederick Williams.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
