Colleen M. Bacon, 54

OSWEGO, NY – Colleen M. Bacon, 54, a resident of 46 Hawley Street passed away on Wednesday March 24, 2010, at her home.

Born in Fulton, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Katherine (Frawley) Smith.

She was a graduate of Hannibal High School.

Mrs. Bacon had been employed with the Oswego County DMV since 1973 and had served as supervisor for the last 20 years.

Colleen was an avid horsewoman and was a member of the Hall Newman Center where she served on the poverty committee.

Surviving are husband of 35 years, Michael Bacon; a son, Matthew (Jennifer) Bacon of Oswego; three brothers, Christopher Smith of Fulton, Dana (Wendy) Smith of Fulton and Sean (Elizabeth) Smith of Auburn; and a sister, Bernadette (Herbert) Fox of Limerick Maine.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Hall Newman Center.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oswego County Humane Society.
