Ferris A. Elhage, 87, of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Fulton, died July 8, 2009.

Born in Fulton he had resided in Florida since 1987. Ferris was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre. He was a life member of the V.F. W. Post 4590 in Plant City, Florida.

Ferris was predeceased by his parents, Anton Elhage and Rathia Tounes Elhage; an infant son, Jeffrey; sister, Shehia Astafan and three brothers, Naive, Francis and Hider Elhage.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Afton L. Elhage of Zephyrhills, Florida; three daughters, Eileen (Raymond) Rice of Baldwinsville, Kathryn (Donnie) Godfrey of Phoenix and Nancy (Danny) Charles of Dade City, Florida; two sons, Steven (Joyce) Elhage of Bedford, Virginia and Roger (Cinde) Elhage of Bull’s Gap, Tennessee; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Naivie Moses of Baldwinsville; brother, Thomas Elhage of Baldwinsville; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (formerly The Church of the Immaculate Conception) corners of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
