PHOENIX, NY – Ina Florence Manuel, 96, former Pennellville, NY, resident, passed away at Central Park Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Syracuse, NY, on Saturday July 15, 2017.
She was born in the town of VanBuren to her late parents Florence (Howe) and Harvey Turner on September 29, 1920.
She was a homemaker.
Ina enjoyed her gardening.
She was a delight to be around, loved by all who knew her.
A special thank you to the staff members at the Central Park Healthcare home for the loving care given to Ina.
Ina was predeceased by her husband, Everette G. Manuel; her grandson, William “Rusty” Carlton; brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughter, Nancy S. (Bill) Steding; five grandchildren, Mary Lou Mills, Roberta Welch, Bill Steding II, Shelley Sadler and Pamela Parsons; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Elias (Bev) Turner; one sister, Ruth Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Josie Turner; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service to honor Ina will be on Monday July 24, at 11 a.m. in the Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY 13132, with the Rev. Jeff Hodge officiating.
A private burial will at the family’s convenience will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners, NY.
