PHOENIX, NY – Robert H. Jarvis, 90, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2017, with his family at his bedside.

He leaves a loving wife of 66 years, Nanette (Archambo) Jarvis; his sons, Robert (Cathy) of Farmington, Conn., and Richard of Baldwinsville, NY; grandchildren, Robert and Blaire of Denver, Colo., and Clayton and Brooke of Baldwinsville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was born and raised in Pennellville to Harold and Doris (Potter) on May 4, 1927.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Paul.

Bob served proudly in the United States Army Occupation Forces in Germany in 1945.

He was a member of VFW Post 5540 in Phoenix.

Following his discharge from the Army, he began a 43-year career with Sealright Co. (Huhtamaki) in Fulton, NY, retiring in 1990.

Bob was an avid golfer as well as a founding and lifelong member of Beaver Meadows Golf Club, Phoenix, where he served as president and was active on the board of directors for many years.

Beaver Meadows was a tremendous passion, as were his grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, on Friday, November 10, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 11, at 10 a.m.

Words cannot express our appreciation for the staff and administration at Syracuse Home Association of Baldwinsville for the tremendous care and compassion shown our father the past three years, as well as the friendship and comfort they provided our mother each day.
