FULTON – September 24, 2025, Ronald R. Jenkins, Sr., 79, of Fulton passed away at home Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was born in Fulton on June 12, 1946 to Ruth and Lester Jenkins, Jr. Ron was a graduate of Fulton High School and enlisted into the U.S Air Force. He was employed by the City of Fulton Department of Public Works for 20 years. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and was the First Mate on the Lake Ontario fishing charter boat the “Fish Tender.” He was hobbyist who enjoyed his remote controlled boats and airplanes. Ron was a member of the Hannibal American Legion Prior Stock Post #1552, the Fulton Moose Lodge and the Fulton Polish Home.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Jenkins of Fulton; a son, Ronald (Brientha) Jenkins, Jr. of Fulton; his brothers, Mike (Barb) Firenze of Myrtle Beach, SC and Terry “Tweet” Firenze of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Grace E. “Sue” Jenkins on April 6, 2011; his son, Brian W. Jenkins on April 16, 2002; his daughter, Amy Gregory on August 23, 2002; his sister, Dawn Barrett; his brothers, Joe, Warren and Charles Jenkins.
Calling hours are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2025 with services to follow at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton. Burial will be in Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Tuesday after the burial at the Fulton Moose Lodge, 3044 County Route 57, Oswego.
