Barbara J. Hoag

Barbara J. Hoag, 89, of Ira, NY, passed July 6, 2024, at Upstate University Hospital. Barbara was born in Fulton, NY, on October 22, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Viola Tyrell. Barb graduated from Fulton High School at the age of 16. She started working at the office of Dr. Lyons, DDS, she also worked at the Cato Show Print, and GE. She retired from Clarke American, July 5, 1995. Since her retirement she has enjoyed family vacations, watching her birds, Yankees Baseball, and old movies. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her family.

  She was predeceased in October of 2019, by her husband of 64 years Lee Hoag Jr., She is also predeceased by her son, Mark, sisters, Marion, Beverly, and brother, Timothy.

  She is survived by her son, Steven Hoag, daughters, Roxanne (Mark) Pople, and Darlene (Brad) DeRocha, two sisters, Judy Carlton, and Cindy (Russ) Darling, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

  At her request, there will be no services. Donations in her memory can be made to the Ira Volunteer Fire Department. 12591 NY-176, Cato, NY 13033. Arrangements are in care of the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato.
