Mary E. Gosek, 55

OSWEGO, NY – Mary E. Gosek, 55, and a resident of Oswego Town passed away Saturday morning June 3, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Clifton Springs and was the daughter of Bruce G. and Patricia E. Celso Lester.
Mary was the wife of Edward J. Gosek.
She was a graduate of Oswego High School and Oswego State University.
Mary had been employed for 34 years as a computer program analyst at Oswego State University until her recent retirement.
She was the founder of Peaceful Remedies and was the president of the Oswego Chapter of Hope For Heather.
Mary was also an active member of the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
She was an avid fan of Oswego hockey.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and St. Stephen’s Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is survived by one daughter, Sarah E. Gosek of Rochester; one son, Jeremy E. Gosek of New York, NY; four sisters, Joan M. (Sean) Kesselring of Dewitt, Donna L. (Tom) Handley, Sara E. (Stephen) Davis and Susan K. (Andrew) DiBlasi all of Oswego.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday 3-8 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Mary’s family would like to extend its thanks to Dr. Douglas Bunn and Dr. Thomas Hanna for the loving care that they provided to Mary during her illness.
