Roy E. Parkhurst, Jr.

OSWEGO – Roy E. Parkhurst, Jr., 76 of Oswego passed away Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

He was born in Fulton and was the son of the late Roy E and Annabelle McCann Parkhurst, Sr. Mr. Parkhurst was the husband of Jean Loomis Parkhurst. Roy was a life resident of Oswego and had been employed for many years as a crane operator at Alcan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Debora A. (David) Ryder of Cicero, two sons, Roy E. Parkhurst, III of Charlotte, NC., Ronald (Melissa) Parkhurst of Oswego, one brother, Donald (Beverly) Parkhurst of Oswego, one step-daughter Lori (Johnny Wright) Wheeler of Fair Haven, one step-son, Randal (Kathe) Beckwith of Hannibal, thirteen  grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Due to current circumstances, services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Oswego Town Volunteer Fire Department, 640 County Route 20 Oswego, NY 13126, American Lung Association of Central New York, 17 Technology Place, Onondaga, East Syracuse, NY 13057 or the American Heart Association 2 S. Clinton St. Syracuse, NY 13202.

Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
