OSWEGO, NY – Ellen J. Dunn Budd Perry, 81, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Friday July 7, 2017, at St.Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Francoise (Lacroix) Dunn.
She attended schools in Rhode Island and St. Paul’s Academy in Oswego.
She was employed with WD Grant, JC Penny’s and retired from the Housekeeping Department at the Oswego Hospital.
She was a former auxiliary member of the American Legion #268.
Ellen loved to crochet and make afghans, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are her two daughters, Michele M. Budd Endres of Oswego and Marilyn Perry of Niagara Falls; a brother, Lawrence (Virginia) Dunn of Oswego; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Perry, in 2003, a granddaughter, Terra Lynne Endres, in 2016; and her brother, John R. Dunn, in 1977.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Dowdle Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
