Joan V. Roy, 71

OSWEGO, NY – Joan V. Roy, 71, a resident of 20 Manor Drive, passed away on Sunday March 24, 2013, at Seneca Hill Manor.

Born in Hannibal, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Catherine (Townsend) Vader and was a graduate of Hannibal High School.

She was employed with Sealright for a couple of years before becoming a homemaker.

Joan bowled in the Women’s Bowling League and was a volunteer at the Officer’s Club.

Surviving are her four children, Jim Roy Jr., Joyce Connor, Jeffrey Roy and Jason Roy, all residing in northern Virginia.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling calling hours.

Spring burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery.

Arrangements are in care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.
