Rose P. Deming, 87

OSWEGO, NY – Rose P. Deming, 87, a resident of Oswego passed away on Wednesday April 20, 2016, at the St.Luke Health Services.

Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Cecilia (Reynolds) Davis and had attended Oswego schools.

She was employed with Loblaws and later retired from the Auxiliary Services at the State University of Oswego.

She enjoyed camping at Brennan Beach and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Maureen (Mark) Polky of Oswego; two sons, Robert (Cindy) Deming of Oswego and James (Mary) Deming of Oswego; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Deming, in 2001; a sister, Katherine; and four brothers, Bob, Curt, Butch and John.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from St.Mary’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 – 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse N.Y. 13057
