Ada A. Hackett, 81, of Fulton, died Monday at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Boylston, she had resided in Fulton for over 60 years. Ada was a member of the Fulton Garden Club and was a co-founder with her husband of the Pathfinder Fish and Game Children’s Fishing Derby held at Sharps Pond in Fulton for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Hackett, who died in 1997; sisters, Eva Steele, Lillian Sanderson and Vercie Carey; brothers, Raymond, John and Richard Stacy.
Surviving: daughter, Deborah (Michael, Sr.) Arnold of Fulton; sons, William, James (Sandra) and Gary (Luann Reed) all of Fulton; sister, Jenny Schybach of St. Petersburg, FL; her companion of 12 years, Floyd James Chillson of Hannibal; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Ruth Kittney of Fulton. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
