Andrew E. Curran Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10th, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on Sunday, June 5th, 1938, in Jacksonville, FL, Andrew was a cherished resident of Oswego, NY, where he spent much of his life contributing to the community, church and nurturing his family.

Andrew is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Terrill Sue Curran. Together, they built a loving family, including their children: Guy (B. Joann) Curran, Jeffrey (Virginia) Curran, Morgan Curran, Andrew III (Nancy) Curran, and Amy (Robert Jr.) Swan. Andrew was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew E. Curran Sr. and Edna M. Curran, as well as his sister, Frances Wilkins. Andrew’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Andrew served his country with honor in the Navy and was also a proud member of the Merchant Marines. Andrew was on the NS Savannah (Nuclear Ship Savannah) which was the world’s first nuclear-powered merchant ship and a signature project of President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s “Atoms for Peace”. His commitment to service was a testament to his character and dedication to his country. Andrew was a long-time member of Reformed Presbyterian Church of Oswego. He was a man of great faith and served his church in many capacities including treasurer and a benefactor of missions.

A memorial service celebrating Andrew’s life will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, at 2 PM at Reformed Presbyterian Church of Oswego, 154 City Line Road, Oswego, NY. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the life of a remarkable man who touched so many lives.
