FULTON, NY – Brian H. Dodge, 58, of Fulton passed away unexpectedly Sunday Jan. 29, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Utica, he was a 32-year resident of Fulton.

After 32 years of teaching Health Education at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, Brian retired in 2010.
He also taught driver’s education and coached boys’ cross-country.
An accomplished runner, Brian was a four-time cross-country and track and field All-American while attending Alleghany Community College and Plattsburg State University.
He also placed in the top 100 at the Utica Boilermaker Road Race.
Brian most recently ran with The Genesee Valley Harriers Premier Running Club and was a member of several USA Track and Field Veteran National Championship teams.
Brian was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and son.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carol A. Dodge; daughter, Breann Dodge; faithful companion, Sammy.
He was predeceased by his father, Howard Dodge.
He is also survived by his mother, Stella Dodge of Utica; two sisters, Marcia (Dr. George) Schilling of New Hartford and Lisa Dodge of Utica; sisters-in-law, Sandra (Pete) Cataldo of Rome, Bernice Mrzlikar of Utica and Kathryn (Glenn) Palmer of Georgia; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
