David L. MacDougall, 63, of Scriba, died Thursday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Syracuse.

Born in Fulton he was a life resident of the Fulton – Oswego area. David was a hard working farmer, working on many local farms and was affectionately known as “Goat Farmer”.

He was an active member of the Moose Lodge both in Fulton and Oswego. David was also an active member of the Fulton First United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran serving from 1968 to 1970.

David was a loving husband, father and friend to many. He enjoyed John Deere antique tractors.

He was predeceased by his parents Burdette and Thelma MacDougall; his foster parents, Nelson and Ruth Williams and a sister, Barbara Harris. Surviving: his wife of 25 years, Roseann MacDougall of Scriba; two sons, David, Jr. and Philip Joseph both of Scriba; siblings, Burdette, Ken, Diana, Charlie, John, Dorothy and Jean Mary; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no calling hours or services. Contributions may be made in David’s name to the Fulton First United Methodist Church, 1408 State Route 176, Fulton, NY 13069.
