FULTON, NY – Donald Burnside McGivney, 58, of Fulton, died Sunday Jan. 29, 2012, at Pontiac Nursing Home in Oswego.
He was a life resident of Fulton and graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 1972.
Don worked at Morrill Press/Sonoco for 28 years before retiring due to health issues.
He was an avid race car fan and enjoyed going to Oswego Speedway.
Don was predeceased by his father, Donald Kreiger Moore who died in 1953; his adopted father, George V. McGivney, who died in 2003; and by a brother, Thomas K. McGivney who died in 1980.
He is survived by his mother, Mary S. McGivney of Baldwinsville; a sister, Kelley M. McGivney of Long Island; two brothers, Kreiger F. (Anne) McGivney of Oswego and George M. McGivney of Syracuse; his wife, Gail M. Bennett McGivney of Fulton; and a nephew, Bradley T. McGivney of Oswego.
Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
