FULTON, NY – Dora Jean Altman, 88, of North Volney, passed away peacefully Monday May 27, 2019, at the Manor at Seneca Hill, with her family at her side.
A hard worker her entire life, in her free time she enjoyed birdwatching and going to casinos, but above all she loved spending time with her many grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Altman Jr.; and son-in-law, Ed McDougall.
Dora is survived by her children, Ruth McDougall, Richard (Dawn) Simoneau and John (Rita) Altman III; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; five sisters and one brother.
Calling hours will be held Monday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with a graveside service to follow at North Volney Cemetery, County Route 4, North Volney.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dora’s memory to Friends of Oswego County Hospice, P.O. Box 102, Oswego, NY 13126.
