Edward P. Burdick, Sr., 89

Edward P. Burdick, Sr., 89, of Fulton, died Wednesday at VA Medical Center in Syracuse.

A native of Greig, he had resided in Fulton most of his life.

Mr. Burdick retired in 2003 as a self-employed truck driver after 60 years in the transportation industry.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a life member of V.F.W. Post 569 in Fulton.

Edward was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne Bivens.

Surviving are his wife, the former, Dorothy I. Morrell; three daughters, Sharon Baker of Fulton, Sandra (Sam) Bradford of Oswego, Jackie Burdick of North Carolina; two sons, Mark (Denise) Burdick of Fulton and Edward “Chip” Burdick of Fulton; two step-sons, David Morrell and Steven Morrell of Fulton; two step-daughters, Brenda (Gary) Weaver of Indiana and Deborah (Brian) Thompson of South Carolina; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There are no services or calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Oswego County SPCA, PO Box 442, Fulton, 13069.
