FULTON, NY – Eileen Mae Merkley Griffin, 35, of Baldwinsville, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 8, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
She was born on June 12, 1981, to John and Vikki Merkley.
Eileen lived most of her life in Fulton.
In 1999, Eileen graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School and then went to Cayuga Community College and SUNY Oswego.
She worked for Travelers Insurance and Time Warner Cable.
In 2011, Eileen married Brian Griffin.
She enjoyed being with her husband, family and doting on her nephews.
Eileen was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Victor and Marjorie Cughan; paternal grandparents, Howard and Lillian Merkley; and uncle, Timothy Cughan.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband, Brian Griffin; parents, John and Vikki Merkley; one brother, Eric (Amanda) Merkley; two nephews, Kegan and Koen Merkley; one niece, Morgan Miller; aunt, Ann Cughan; mother-in-law, Donna (Tony) Vesta; father-in-law, Craig (Stacy) Griffin; sister-in-law, Kristin Miller; best friend, Kate Zarichny; and her two sons, Trent and Toby; as well as several extended family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
