Frederick W. Recore Sr. “Worm Bob”

OSWEGO – Frederick W. Recore Sr. “Worm Bob”, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on Tuesday, May 23rd, 1961, in Oswego, New York, Fred was a beloved resident of Fulton, NY, where he spent his life surrounded by family and friends.

Fred was a dedicated construction worker, known for his strong work ethic and commitment. Fred was a family man who found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones. He was a man of simple pleasures, enjoying his morning coffee, the tranquility of fishing, and the companionship of his beloved cats. Fred’s sense of humor and playful spirit endeared him to all who knew him, earning him the affectionate nickname of a “Worm Bob.”

Fred is survived by his loving children, Chasity Woods (Recore), Christy, Frederick Jr., and Justin Recore. He leaves behind a legacy of 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his memory and values. Fred is also survived by six siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will miss his warmth and laughter. His beloved pet children will also feel the absence of his gentle care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Recore and Eleanor Recore (Spinner), as well as six siblings who welcomed him into eternal rest.
