Geneva A. Schooley, 93, of Fulton passed away Friday at Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center in Oswego.

Born in Pyrites to the late Joseph and Jennie Growe she was the youngest of 15 children. Geneva was a 86 year resident of the Fulton area graduating from Fulton High School. She had previously worked at Sealright Packaging Co. in Fulton.

She was former member of the First Congregational Church of Christ in Fulton. Geneva was an active participant of the Fulton Nutrition site.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Schooley; a niece, Edith Klein and by a good friend, Mary Battles.

Surviving: several nieces and nephews that include, Virginia Messerschmidt of Fulton, Clara Atkinson of Harrisville, Martin Growe of Minetto, Edmund Growe of Fulton and Floyd Cole of Watertown; many grandnieces and grandnephews to include, Judith Sweet of SC, Victoria Wheeler of Fulton, Kristin DeCaire of Oswego, Sherry Hearnes of Watertown, Thomas Williams of Jordan, Richard Atkinson and Lance Atkinson both of Harrisville.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Co. Rt. 3, Hannibal. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center Resident Council, 303 East River Road, Oswego, 13126.
