James B. Karkruff

HANNIBAL – James “Jim” B. Karkruff, age 88, of Hannibal, NY passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Oswego Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Robert Karkruff; and son, Mark Karkruff.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Anita Karkruff; children, David (Susan) Karkruff, Paul (Cathy) Karkruff, Tim (Carmen) Karkruff and Jimmy Karkruff; sister, Barb Dexter; brother, Michael (Sally) Karkruff; granddaughter, Kaylee; grandson, Dylan; faithful companion, Pepper; several nieces, nephews and nephews.

Jim retired from Jefferson Smurfit after 30 plus years of service. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with friends and family. He was a great friend to many people. He was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal from  2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 4 p.m..
