HANNIBAL, NY – Janice Kathleen Blanchard, 78, of Martville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 27, 2016, at Auburn Community Hospital.
She was born on March 23, 1938, in the town of Conquest, a daughter to the late George and Irene Weaver Baker.
Kathy was a lifetime member of the Prior Stock Legion Post 1552 in Hannibal.
She enjoyed cooking and playing cards.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Jim, in 2003; two brothers, Jim and Bud; and two sisters, Louise and Jean.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her six children, Jim Blanchard of Martville, Richard Blanchard of Michigan, Virginia (David) Roth of Auburn, Lee (Lori) Blanchard of Michigan, Jackie (David) Shurtleff of Cato and Susan DeVall of Martville; 12 grandchildren, Jill, Justin, Matt, Deidre, Whitney, Ashley, Brandon, David, Tyler, Cody, Jared and Mitchell; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileene Burghdorf and Alma (Richard) Lees; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Monday, May 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery at a later date.
