Jessie M. Stupp, 84 of Umatilla, FL died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Tavares, FL.
Born in Cato, she moved to Lake County, FL many years ago. Jessie and her husband Charles had owned and operated Jacob’s Gas and Oil in Fairdale for many years. She had previously worked at Schuyler Potato Chip Company in Cato.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Charles G. Stupp who died February 16, 2005 and by a son, John C. Stupp who died August 9, 2010; siblings, George, Kenneth, Raymond, Charles, Frank, Martha and Mildred.
Surviving: daughters, Sharon Smith of Umatilla, FL and Linda Wright of Hannibal; a brother, John Simons of Weedsport, sisters, Ruth Chapman of Camillus and Lillian Shaben of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Saturday 2 to 4 p.m. with a 4 p.m. service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Spring burial will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
