Joan M. Gardenier

FULTON – Joan M. Gardenier, age 75 of Fulton, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Ilio and Mary Brizzi and her sister, Bonnie Jacobson.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robbie Gardenier; son, Jamie (Chrissie Gale) Gardenier; daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Pieropan, Kimberly (Scott) Lee, and Christie (James) Stemba; grandchildren, Zachary, Nolan, Jared, Carly, Molly, Lexie, Chloe, Conor, and Atlas; siblings, Penny (Gordon) Stark, Joyce Brizzi (Joan’s twin sister), Mark Brizzi, and Leo (Paula) Brizzi; several nieces, nephews, friends and fur baby, Chula.

Joan was an avid reader and collector of mallard ducks. She also enjoyed playing on the slot machines at the casinos, doing word search puzzles, listening to a variety of music and enjoying the outdoors. She also enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. She was a fighter and always encouraged those around her to never give up. She was a hard worker and dedicated over 15 years of service to the Mirabito’s Grocery Store. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew her.
