Lawrence E. Bresee, 65

HANNIBAL, NY – Lawrence E. Bresee, 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 30, 2016, at his home on Cross Lake.

He was a Navy veteran and retired from a 31-year career at Crucible Steel.

Larry served for several years on the Hannibal Village Board and was also head of the Hannibal Water Department.

He is a past commander of Hannibal American Legion, Prior Stock Post 1552 and also served as county commander.

Larry is survived by his wife, Julia Jacob Bresee; son, Eric A. Bresee, his wife, Amy and their son, Brayden; as well as several siblings, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial and military honors at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Seventh Street in Fulton.

Memorial contributions in Larry’s memory are encouraged to American Legion, Prior Stock Post 1552, 226 Rochester St., Hannibal, NY 13074.
