Born in 1943 in Fulton, Lydia graduated from Fulton High School in 1961.

She married F. David Parsons, 53 years prior and had two children.

After graduating from Syracuse Beauty School, she operated a beauty salon for several years.

Lydia’s real excitement came from painting.

Whether it was being a student, being the teacher or going to conventions she was always happy! Lydia loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and playing cards with dear friends.

She had a wonderful smile that could light up any dim room.

Lydia was preceded in death by her father and mother, Marvin and Marjorie (Cook) Cole; and two brothers, Marvin Cole and Richard Cole.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, F. David Parsons; a daughter, Stacy Ashby (Brian); a son, Michael Parsons; five grandchildren; several close friends and cousins.  Crabbers and Cindy were “extra” special.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Hospice agency.
