Maria Queen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 1, 2024, at the age of 73.
Born on June 5, 1951, Maria touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for Jesus. Maria’s enthusiasm for life was evident in her love for Jesus and her family. She was born in Cuba and was the second of four siblings. Maria went to high school at Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, California, where she met the love of her life, Steven Queen. They married in 1972 and eventually had seven children. Maria enjoyed watching the Food Network and keeping up with the new trends on QVC. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren when they came to visit and spending time with family. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to inspire all who were touched by her life.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steven Queen Sr., children Steve Jr, James, Dwight, Samaria, and Smyrna along with her fourteen grandchildren.
A calling hour will be from 11am – 12pm on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Emmanual Baptist Bible Church, 15564 State Route 104, Martville, NY 13111 with a service to follow at 12pm. Burial will be in Sterling Center Cemetery. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
