HANNIBAL, NY – Mary E. Powell, 66, of Hannibal, passed away on Thursday July 11, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Fulton, she lived in the Hannibal area most of her life.
She was the daughter of Patricia Bailey and the late Frederick Grandjean and married her husband, Harry Powell, on November 12, 1966.
Mary owned and operated Herron’s Fabric Center in Fulton for many years and worked with her husband, Harry, and their, son, Andrew at Granby Discount Carpet in Granby Center.
She had previously worked as a secretary at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Harry Powell of Hannibal; a son, Andrew (Theresa) Powell of Hannibal; and grandchildren, Sarah, Meghan and Jacob Powell and Sarah and Amanda Beginski.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal, with graveside services 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hannibal Village Cemetery, West Street, Hannibal.
