MaryEvelyn Caprin, 77, of Fulton, died Sunday peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Oswego Hospital.
She was the oldest of 12 children and was a life resident of Fulton. MaryEvelyn worked at General Electric Company, Nestle Company and she retired from Supercoil in 1993. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fulton.
MaryEvelyn was a member of the Fulton V.F.W. Post #569 Ladies Auxiliary, T.O.P.S. and she worked the voting polls during elections.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond in 1992, son-in-law, Kenneth Bonnie in 1988; two brothers, John Samson in 2006 and Fran Samson in 2008.
MaryEvelyn is survived by four daughters, Christine (Tim) Bartlett of Parish, Maurine Caprin of Fulton, Bernice (Jonne) Rowe of Fulton, Beth (Rick) Nixdorf of Hannibal; one son, Raymond (Debbie) Caprin, Jr. of Hannibal; five sisters, Judy Dirk of Scriba, Peg (Al) Foraker of Syracuse, Honore (Bill) Lyons of Batavia, Michelle (John) Parrish of Volney and Gen Rupert of Hannibal; three brothers, Ron (Betty) Samson of Clayton, Brian (Elke) Samson of Volney and Tom (Joy) Samson of Fulton; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton. Burial will be in Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
Following the calling hours the family will greet friends Wednesday at 5 p.m. for a gathering at the Fulton Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge #830, 57 Pierce Drive, Fulton.
