FULTON, NY – Megan M. Beattie, 37, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse.
She was born on September 23, 1980, in Syracuse.
Megan was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton and then attended Cayuga Community College for Liberal Arts.
She enjoyed reading Harry Potter novels and adored her cats, Duncan, Mace and Butterball.
Megan was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Betty Brennan.
Surviving are her loving companion of 20 years, Brian Waldron; mother, Darcy Beattie; father, Robert (Christina) Beattie; brother, Christopher Beattie; maternal grandfather, Verne Draper; paternal grandparents, Carl and Patricia Beattie; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 23, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.
For those wishing, contributions may be made to an animal charity of your choice in Megan’s memory.
