HANNIBAL, NY – Michael L. James, 71, of Fair Haven, passed away on Wednesday July 27, 2016, at Oswego Hospital.
He was born on September 10, 1944, in El Paso, Texas, a son to the late Ernest and Julia Thomas James.
Michael was a member of Fair Haven Calvary Baptist Church.
He loved to umpire baseball, fish, sit by the lake and kids.
He was predeceased by his brother, Robert James.
He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife, Beverly; three children, Jennifer Tyson of Syracuse, David (Jennifer) James of Fair Haven and Christopher (Christina) James of Liverpool; six grandchildren, Terrianne, Connor, Cohlton, Joshua, Justin and Jenna; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 3, from noon to 2 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn, NY.
For those wishing memorials may be made to St. Luke Residential Health Services, 299 E. River Road, Oswego, NY 13126 in Michael’s memory.
