Millard “Beck” Beckwith, Jr., 85 of Fulton passed away on Monday after a short illness.

He was born on January 9, 1926 to the late Millard and Betty Beckwith in Fulton.

Beck retired as Recreation Department Manager from SUNY at Oswego and had previously worked at Sealright Company for many years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Beck enjoyed bowling in many leagues around the area and was a former City Champion in the Fulton Tournament. He had bowled several times on the Syracuse Bowls television program and was very proud to be inducted into the Oswego Bowlers Hall of Fame in 1993.

After his retirement, Beck moved to Tarpons Springs, FL where he loved to play golf and work at the Tarpon Springs Golf Course. He returned to Fulton in 2001.

In addition to his parents, Beck was predeceased by his brother, George Beckwith who died in February 2011. Surviving are his two children, Barbara (Jerry) Collins of Fulton and Michael (Barb) Beckwith of Syracuse; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Margaret Beckwith; two nephews and several cousins.

There will be no calling hours and graveside services will be private. Foster Funeral Home in Fulton has care of the arrangements.
