FULTON, NY – Pauline Zizzi Mirabito, 92, of Fulton, passed away on Monday February 20, 2017, at St. Luke Residential Health Care Facility in Oswego.

A native of Fulton, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Anna Convertino Zizzi and the daughter-in-law of the late Ross and Frances Zaia Mirabito.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Angelo B. Mirabito; and her brother, Peter P. Zizzi.
She had worked with her husband, Angelo, at Mirabito’s Superette at 501 Erie St. and Angelo’s Big M at 909 W. First St., in Fulton until their retirement in 1990.
Pauline was a lifelong communicant of The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Fulton now known as The Church of the Holy Trinity.
She was a member of Court Pere LeMoyne #855, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Fulton Art Association, Friends of the Fulton Public Library, Arrowhead Garden Club, Salvation Army Auxiliary, A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Fulton Historical Society, Fulton Women’s Club, and served as a Girl Scout leader.
During retirement, she was a volunteer income tax preparer for senior citizens.
After Angelo’s death in 1997, Pauline spent many hours baking and delivering cookies to nursing home residents and neighborhood shut-ins.
She took up golfing and piano and met many friends along the way.
She also enthusiastically embraced technology, with the use of an iPad and desktop computer.
Above all, Pauline loved her faith, family and friends.
Cherish the memories of her in your heart and pray for her Eternal Rest.
At her request and love for others, her organs and tissues were donated to medical science to help others.
Surviving are children, Michael Mirabito of Garden Grove, Calif., David Mirabito of Fulton, Marcia (Joseph) Munk of Woodlands, Texas, Jerome (Elizabeth) Mirabito and Roger (Pamela) Mirabito all of Fulton; her sister, Lee Tanza of Irvine, Calif.; five grandchildren, Melissa, Elizabeth, Abbey, Hope and Lydia; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Camron and Logan; and many nieces and nephews.
The family is grateful to God for her life, your friendship, kindness and prayers.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 26, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, February 27, at The Church of the Holy Trinity, corner of Rochester and South Third streets in Fulton.
