HANNIBAL, NY – Richard A. Hoffman, 75, of Hannibal, it is with our deepest sorrow that the family informs you that our beloved husband, father and grandfather has been taken, by the Lord and his angels, back home for his everlasting love and peace (on February 10, 2016).

Dick was born July 8, 1940, in Worcester, Mass., to Joseph and Julia Hoffman.
He retired from Armstrong World Industries, Fulton, after 36 years as a machinist.
Dick was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Hannibal and a life member of Pathfinder Fish & Game Club in Fulton.
Throughout his life, Dick enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing, motorcycling, four wheeling, snowmobiling, skeet & trap shooting and he loved the Boston Red Sox.
Dick was predeceased in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley (Dick) Murphy; and a brother, Joseph (Shirley) Hoffman.
He now leaves to cherish his memory, his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Edna Allen Hoffman; his children, Susan (Shawn) Conner, Shari (Steve) Gordon and Steven Hoffman; and his faithful dog, Dudley; four wonderful grandchildren, Nicole Ketcham, Kristy Ketcham, Shawn Conner Jr. and Shane Conner; his loving sisters, Judy (Herm) Harold and Donna (Bob) Simko; as well as several nieces and nephews.
We will forever miss him, but let him go to his peace knowing that we will someday link our family chain back as God calls each of us.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 15, at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Cayuga Street in Hannibal with a spring burial service at Hannibal Village Cemetery.
