FULTON, NY – Richard J. “Ricky” Rowland, 56, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, on Thursday January 26, 2017.
He was a native of Fulton, born to the late Carl Rowland Sr. and Rita Clark and was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School.
Ricky enjoyed collecting and playing records, especially those from the 1960s, sharing stories about his time in the Navy and high school and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Rick was predeceased by his siblings, Carole A. Rowland, Thomas J. Rowland and Carl F. Rowland Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Bernice Rowland; daughter, Crystallin; grandchildren, Ian and Karalyn; step-children, Jason, Melissa, John, Jeremy and Jacob Skiff; six step-grandchildren; siblings, Robert F. Rowland, Margaret Marino, Mary Earl and Rita Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, February 2 at Holy Trinity Parish, corner of Rochester and South Third streets in Fulton, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at noon.
Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
