Steven G. Cooper, 60 of Hannibal, passed away unexpectedly Friday at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Syracuse, he was a long time resident of the Fulton – Hannibal areas. Steve had retired from Nestle Co., Fulton after 25 years. He was an Air Force veteran from 1971 to 1978 and was Quarter Master of Hannibal V.F.W. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is predeceased by a brother, Robert J. Cooper.

Steve is survived by his son, Jerrald (Erin) Cooper of Baldwinsville; his parents, Glenn and Vivian Lawler Cooper of Pennellville; companion, Robin Parkhurst of Hannibal; former wife, Myoung Cooper; two grandchildren, Brett and Brianna; siblings, Glenda (Bill) Blanchard, William Cooper and Glenn “Butch” ( Jill Whalen) Cooper; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen’s Church, Main Street, Phoenix. Calling hours will be 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
