Steven Sixberry, Sr., 51

Steven Sixberry, Sr., 51, of Fulton died Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a long illness.

He had worked at Anoplate Corp. in Syracuse and General Electric Co. in Liverpool. Steve was an avid bowler on the Lakeview Lanes Friday Night Men’s League and enjoyed hunting, auto racing and softball.

Steve was predeceased by his father, Grover Sixberry, Sr. and a sister, Lila Weiland. Surviving are his wife, Laurie Sixberry of Fulton; children, Steven Jr., Brandy Lynn and Sarah Jean Sixberry all of Fulton; mother, Natalie Sixberry of Fulton; siblings, John, Grover Jr. and David Sixberry and Sharon Kitney; two grandchildren, Kearstine Sixberry and Seth Hughes; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 12 noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Road, 2nd Floor, East Syracuse, 13057.
