Virginia A. Vought, 81

Virginia A. Vought, 81, of Sterling, died Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Falmouth, Maine to the late Bruce and Jessie Corcoran she was a 41 year resident of the Sterling area. Virginia retired from in 1986 after 17 years from S.U.N.Y. Oswego as a housekeeper.
She was predeceased her husband, Warren Vought, who died in 1975.
Surviving: a daughter, Laurie Pulieris of Sterling; a grandson, Kendrick Whelsky of Sterling; sister, Charlotte Couse of Scriba.
A calling hour will be held Friday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a 6 p.m. service immediately following at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Spring burial will be at Sterling Center Cemetery.
