William B. Joice, 78

FULTON, NY – William B. Joice, 78, of Fulton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

A native of Martinsburg, he was a life resident of the Fulton area.

Bill owned and operated William B. Joice & Son general contracting with his son, Bill, and Burton Fuels and co-owned Joice & Burch all in Fulton.

He also had worked at Fulton Builders Supply in Fulton.

He was an active member of State Street United Methodist Church and the Fulton Rotary Club where he was a past president and received the Paul Harris Award and Community Service Award.

Bill was a life member of the Dempster Grove Camp Association where he served as president and on the building and grounds committee.

He enjoyed fishing with his family and friends and playing golf.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary Sturgis Joice of Fulton; two children, Leanne (Robert) Gillen of Hannibal and William (Deb) Joice of Oswego; two grandchildren, Meghan Gillen of Hannibal and Steven Henri of Watertown; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with services to follow.
