William N. Hoyt, 79 of Fulton, died suddenly Monday. A native of Brantford, Canada, he had resided in Fulton most of his life. Bill retired in 1995 from Nestle Company after many years and previously worked at Sealright Company both in Fulton. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church, Fulton.  Bill was a member of Elks Lodge 830 and was a life member of VFW Post 569 and Homer Russell Smith American Legion Post all in Fulton. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and was an avid S.U. Basketball fan.  He was a graduate of Fulton High School and a member of the varsity basketball team where he received honors for his ability.

He was predeceased by a son, William A. Hoyt, who died in 2008.

Surviving: his wife of 55 years, Carolyn M. Hoyt of Fulton; his children, Sandra (Terry) DeMott, Cindy (Pat) Bukolt and Michael (Ann) Hoyt all of Fulton; a sister, Joan Holmes of Fulton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; an aunt, uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Church, corner of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo Street, Fulton, 13069.
