John C. Hubalek Sr.

OSWEGO – John C. Hubalek Sr., 75, of Oswego, died on November 26, 2022.
Born in Utica, NY, he was the son of the late August and Ella (Cherunban) Hubalek.
John graduated from Notre Dame High School and then studied Electrical Engineering Technology at Mohawk Valley Community College.
He worked as an electrician for the I.B.E.W. Local #181 in Utica and retired from Local #43.
He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching SU Football and basketball, the NY Giants, and the Atlanta Braves. He loved his family, music, and food.
Surviving are his sons John C. Hubalek Jr. of Oswego, David A. (Jen) Hubalek, of Liverpool, and Andrew (Celeste) E. Hubalek of Delmar; and his beloved grandchildren Natalie Hubalek, Nicholas Hubalek, and Siena Cano-Hubalek; three sisters, Ella Quinn, Geraldine Durante, and Frances Miazga; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Janet Hubalek.
Calling hours will be held 3-6 PM Thursday, December 1st at the Nelson Funeral Home, Oswego.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Friday at CTGS at St. Joseph’s Church, 240 West First Street, Oswego. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
