Mary Ellen Clary

OSWEGO – Mary Ellen Clary, 92, of Oswego Town, passed away on September 26, 2025, with her family by her side.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and Bessie L. (Pierce) Mueller. She married Robert D. Clary who passed away in 1998.

Mary Ellen worked at several places during her life. She worked in the purchasing department at Sealright, WSGO Radio Station, Oswego County Health Department,  and retired from the Odds & Ends Department Store in Oswego.

Her family was always important to her. Mary Ellen loved to babysit her grandchildren who cherished her. She was known for her wit and humor. Mary Ellen was also an exceptional puzzle solver. Her favorites being word searches.

Mary Ellen is survived by her sons, Robert D. (Linda) Clary, Shawn T. (Ruth) Clary, Brian P. (Kimberly) Clary, and Don C. (Jeannie) Clary all of Oswego, grandchildren, Shawn Clary, Miranda (Michael) Clary, Christian (Nicole) Clary, Dakota (Bella) Clary, Grace Clary, Ashley (Alan) Eagan, Thomas Brown, and Amanada Brown, as well as 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her and very close friend Sara Mastroeni.

She was predeceased by a brother Carl Mueller,  and sister Betty Baker.

 A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Oswego Rual Cemetery, 242 Cemetery Rd., Oswego Town, NY 13126. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Mary’s name to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th N. St., Liverpool, NY 13088. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
