OSWEGO – Robert G. Larkin, 65, of Oswego, died unexpectedly on March 20, 2026.
Born in Oswego, NY, he was the son of the late Ralph Larkin and Donna (Swindells) Meteer.
Robert was a proud Navy veteran, having served from 1979 to 1982. He received his first guitar while serving in the Navy.
Robert worked as a truck driver for SUNY Oswego for many years. He also owned Hurricane Sound and was a sound engineer for local and national bands. He loved playing guitar with local bands and was inducted into the Oswego Music Hall of Fame in 2017. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels cars and toys. He loved his 1964 Mustang and was involved with Tunes for Tots Charity.
Robert is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Carlotta (Corradino) Larkin, his two sons, Chris (Anna) Larkin and Nick (Jen) Larkin, a daughter, Cassie Larkin, his brothers, Rick and Greg Larkin, his sister Janelle Meteer, his beloved grandchildren Kathrine and Lilly, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Meteer.
Calling hours will be held from 4-6 pm on Friday, March 27, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
