OSWEGO – Ronald A. Panzica, 70, of Sterling passed away, with his loving family by his side, on January 14, 2025.
Born in Manhattan NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Pollina) Panzica.
Ronald was a retired NYC Police Officer. Ronald volunteered at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Walton NY, and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. He moved to Sterling in 2005, where he enjoyed life on his hobby farm. He loved to brush hog on his tractor and enjoyed his horses. Even after he no longer rode, he continued to tend to his horses for the enjoyment of his daughter and granddaughters. Ronald also was an avid hunter and fisherman. He adored his family above all.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Rose) Panzica, his children Salvatore W. Panzica, Roseann (Bobby) Inzalaco, Chrissy Panzica, and Ronald (Christine) Panzica, siblings Johnny (Joanne) Panzica, Joey (Nancy) Panzica, sister in law Barbara Panzica, and six beloved grandchildren Eleanora Inzalaco, Josephine Inzalaco, Olivia Watts, Gianna Mormile, Giuliana Panzica, and Giustina Panzica, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother Richie Panzica.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 4 to 6, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Christ the Good Shepherd Church. Entombment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, All Saints Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
